SAW IV
Oct 28th
“You think it’s over? You think you’re safe? You are wrong!”
The fourth part of these torture porn sequels is out
Like the three parts before this is nothing for weak nerves. A lot of blood and a lot of people dying. If you enjoyed the predecessors as much as I did then this movie is a must for you. I don’t want to tell much about the story, you have to find out by yourself. The only thing I can tell you for sure: Jonathan “Jigsaw” Kramer is really dead (as he died in Saw III) and there is no supernatural rebirth in Saw IV. But you’ll learn a lot of the story behind his mad character and why he’s become this criminal that kills people not randomly. Every victim of Jigsaw has a reason to be a part of his “games”.
Another goodie today was the preview of Rambo IV. I find it quite awesome that Stallone does a version of a John Rambo which just came out of the retirement center
“WAR is in your blood. When you’re pushed killing is as easy as breathing”
Dan in real life
Oct 27th
Another movie with Steve Carell. This guy seems to be pretty busy right now
The story is very simple. Carell plays a guy named Dan Burns, a newspaper columnist who has lost his wife and takes care of his 3 daughters all by himself. Together with them he goes to the yearly family meeting where he runs into Marie (Juliette Binoche) and falls in love with here on the first sight. The only problem is that Marie is the new girlfriend of his brother which he finds out later when he is back at his parents house. Things start to get complicated for Dan…
The movie has some funny parts and some sentimental parts, sometimes you think that this could also happen to you in real life but some scenes appear to be made up and the big surprises are missing so that you could tell the end from the beginning.
It’s one of these “nice happy-ending movies” that you might want to watch with your girlfriend/boyfriend in arm to heave a pleasant evening.
Weekend in Boston
Oct 27th
As already posted I’ve spent the last weekend in Boston and it was so great. Both days were sunny (as you can tell looking on the pics) and I must say that Boston is one of the best cities I’ve been so far.
I’ve been to the “Head of the Charles” regatta in Cambridge went all along the Charles river over to the Massachusetts ave. bridge or Harvard bridge which length is measured in “Smoots“. Then I went down to the Prudential Center and to the John Hancock tower (yeah – another Hancock building). Being there I went all the way back to Harvard Square in Cambridge so I would estimate I went 10 miles overall last Saturday and believe me I could tell by my hurting feet that I’ve walked a lot. On Sunday I was invited by my buddy Allan to have lunch and watch the Patriots game at his house. A great weekend!
Here are some pictures.

Going to Boston
Oct 19th
Today I will fly to Boston for the weekend to do some sightseeing, watch the Head of the Charles Regatta and I am looking forward to getting some proper seafood at my colleagues place. And we will of course watch another victory of the NE Patriots this Sunday
The soccer world is topsy turvy
Oct 17th
I have do admit that I’m not a big soccer fan but what a day! The mother country of soccer (England) loses against Russia and must now be afraid of not qualifying for the European Championships and the highly criticized Austrian team wins against Ivory Coast after 11Â 9 unsuccessful games. And I’ve heard that they played really well so there might be a slight hope for next year. But the most important thing is: Germany lost
