Happy New Year!

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

Although its freezing cold out today here in Austria, we we are gonna celebrate Linz 09 to make it the cultural center of Europe for the whole year 2009. After having hot pot at my parents place we are going to hit the city, watch the fireworks and enjoy the big party afterwards :)

Happy New Year to everyone out there and stay warm tonight!!!

And remember the motto of tonight: “make love, not explosions

Back in Austria

Sunday, December 21st, 2008

The flight out of NYC yesterday was delayed of course and I had to run to get my connection flight in Vienna but I made it. My luggage though didn’t make the transfer in Vienna but I got it delivered last night so everything is well. My first 24 hours in Austria I spent doing what Austrians do best: Eating and drinking :) I had already Bratwurst, Schweinsbraten, Schnitzel, Leberkassemmerl and loads of beer…..Mhm, I think I gained already 5 pounds….time to hit the gym.

One of the worst things…

…to happen when you are trying to fly out of NYC?

Correct! Bad weather like heavy snow and icey rain today. I am still on my way to the airport. Traffic is moving slow. Let’s see if my flight doesn’t get cancelled. The airline keeps telling me that the flight is still on time which I strongly doubt.

Let it snow…

As you might know I’m back in the city since last weekend. It started snowing really heavy today around noon and I felt like a snowman when I returned from my lunch break back to the office. Here is a picture of wall street where you can see the snow falling…

From +30 to -10

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

Coming back from the Bahamas I had to go to Toronto directly which basically meant coming from 30 degrees Celsius (enjoying the beach and sun) and going to -10 degrees Celsius (and walking through the snow). I’m trying my best to stay warm here but I’m so glad that most of downtown Toronto is underground which means that most of my walk from the hotel to the client’s office is inside.

Vacation ctd.

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

It’s time to put some more pictures online. Vacation was way too short as always and I spent most of the time of the four days I had there on the beach and at the pool bar :)  Flying back home to NYC was painful as I had to wait on my connection flight in Miami for a couple of hours since the flight was delayed. I finally got home at 2am and decided to postbone my flight to Toronto to the next night since my original schedule would have been to fly there at 6am….Anyways here are the pictures.
